Dr. Mark Liker's knowledge, skills and experience make him an exceptional Neurosurgeon. When I met him on my first appointment, his self-confidence put me at ease. I knew I had found the right Doctor. He performed 3 surgeries with perfection: Anterior/posterior Lumbar fusion L5-S1, Anterior Cervical Fusion C5-6, and Carpal tunnel surgery on right hand. He went above and beyond to help me with the scheduling of these surgeries. He made me feel that I really matter as his patient. His staff is excellent as well. I met his PA Maureen on my first appointment and she did a thorough examination on my body. She is remarkable. Lily was reliable and helpful with referral authorizations and the scheduling of surgeries. It has been an unforgettable experience. Great doctors are hard to find. I am so blessed I found Dr. Mark Liker.

Under Dr. Mark Liker and his staff I’ve felt like I was their top priority from the moment I was introduced to everyone. Dr. Liker and his staff made me feel important and that my concerns were put at ease with every question I had. I called prior to my surgery and Dr. Liker went above and beyond my expectations to walk me through the surgical procedure. On the day of my surgery, we talked again, verified with me my procedure, checked me over, and asked me if I was ready. Once I woke up, Dr. Liker greeted me again and told me everything went according to plan and asked how I was feeling. On my follow-up, Dr. Liker’s examination was thorough and reported my healing process was going well. I would highly recommend Dr. Liker to anyone needing his knowledge, skill set as a surgeon, but also as a doctor with exceptional bedside manner.

Dr Liker and Maureen make the greatest team. Dr Liker is friendly, speaks to the point, AND HE CARES. He performed a laminectomy for adult tethered cord syndrome on me, a 53-year old woman. I am still recovering, but my sciatica is gone too! I am very pleased to have had the chance to be Dr Liker's patient. The Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital was hands down, the best hospital I have ever had the privilege of being in and taken care of by exceptional nurses and doctors.

We were very thankful for Dr. Lobo’s kindness and expertise when our young daughter had to have emergency brain surgery recently. I was seen quickly by Dr. Liker and and new partner, Dr. Acosta. Dr. Acosta reviewed my file and explained my current options. He looked at me while he spoke and used both my x-rays and a model of a low back. He spoke clearly and explained what would be done if I opted for surgery. He answered my questions concisely and most importantly he LISTENED to me. In these times that is a rare occurrence. After returning home my wife Teresa researched Dr. Acosta. His Harvard education followed by many other universities and fellowships were nothing short of amazing. I may or may not opt for the extensive back surgery I need at this time but when I do commit I will be very comfortable with a Dr. Liker and Dr. Acosta team working on me.

How he takes the time to listen to the patients and how he makes sure he gets to discuss the whole situation happening to your body. Would’ve liked more explanation of what to expect during post op recovery and what I should and should not do aid and speed recovery. Staff was accessible and answered questions quickly and responded quickly to help manage severe post op pain. One complaint, wife not notified upon completion of surgery resulting in severe tongue lashing of ME by wife.

My visit was a second follow-up to surgery I had in September. Based on X-Rays of my neck, we made some changes to my physical therapy and scheduled a further follow-up appointment. Dr. Lobo made me whole again. He took away pain that was OVER a 10! And he did it very quickly! He sent me to Northridge Hospital, and within 3 hours I was in surgery! When it herniated, HE DID IT AGAIN! For months I was in agonizing pain. It’s been 2 weeks since surgery and I’m walking again! I still have some pain BUT it’s getting better every day! Just like every doctor I’ve seen since says it should be. And the scar is so small! 3 other Doctors have commented on how some doctors don’t care about this and make large incisions to make it easier. This just shows how much Dr. Lobo cares about his patients. If you meet him you would see for yourself. Thank you, Dr. Bjorn Lobo.

I must say the cliché..."I don't really write reviews," but I don't. But I had to on this experience. I have been dealing with a host of nerve issues, some for years, and still have not gotten a proper diagnosis as to why. In this journey of trying to figure out why I have come across too many doctors that just want to rush you out the room and you still leave with more questions than answers. Today was my first time at Dr. Lobo's office, and although I did not leave with a diagnosis, I'll tell you this, he was patient, kind, and really wanted to help me get down to the cause of all my nerve-related issues. So now I have a plan in place and am hopeful that with his help, we can solve this mystery.
